Juntera is a feature film-length narrative documentary about the life and work of a Chavista political organisation in five Peasant Comunas in Venezuela. It was made by the Bolivar and Zamora Revolutionary Current (la Corriente Revolucionaria Bolívar y Zamora or CRBZ).Comunas is the Spanish term for communes.
Juntera brings us a close-up view of the revolutionary process of change taking place in these local communities and highlighting the political reflections and philosophies of the Comuna members and protagonists.
The documentary also shows how these are expressed in everyday activity showing solidarity, respect, and collective care.
Juntera is the first major documentary produced by the Socialist Comunas, and the first part of a trilogy about the unrolling communal process in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
